Clinical Description:
AMBIENCE is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical study evaluating a study medication in individuals with established cardiovascular disease and are overweight or obese. The study is designed to assess whether the study medication can reduce the risk of major cardiovascular outcomes, including cardiovascular death, heart attack, stroke, and hospitalization or urgent care for heart failure. It is believed that the study medication will support cardiovascular protection through improvements in metabolic health and acts on pathways associated with two naturally occurring hormones, glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) and amylin.
Target Age/Sex:
45 years or older, Male & Female
